Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that according to existing technology, noise insulation is possible only to a lower part of a flange clamping part 13 and noises in an engine room are transmitted into a vehicle interior through a cowl 3.SOLUTION: In a cowl silencer 1, an upper part 11 covering a cowl upper 5 and a lower part 12 covering at least a part of a cowl inner 6 are joinedly provided, a flange clamping part 13 is provided at a boundary portion between the upper part 11 and the lower part 12 for covering a joint flange 8, and further a through hole 14 is provided in the flange clamping part 13 for allowing an instrument panel assembling piece 9 to pass through. With this, the cowl silencer 1 can be provided in a narrow space between an instrument panel 2 and a cowl 3, and noises in an engine room can be inhibited from entering a vehicle interior. 【課題】既存の技術では、フランジ挟持部13の下部までしか遮音ができず、エンジンルームの音がカウル3を介して車室内へ伝達する不具合がある。【解決手段】カウルサイレンサ1は、カウルアッパ5を覆うアッパパーツ11と、カウルインナ6の少なくとも一部を覆うロアパーツ12とを繋げて設け、アッパパーツ11とロアパーツ12の境界部に接合フランジ8を覆うフランジ挟持部13を設け、さらにフランジ挟持部13にインパネ組付片9を貫通させる貫通穴14を設ける。これにより、インパネ2とカウル3との間の狭い空間にカウルサイレンサ1を設けることができ、エンジンルームの音がカウル3を介して車室内へ侵入するのを抑えることができる。【選択図】 図1
