Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrochemical apparatus which has a simple configuration and utilizes effectively heat energy generated in the apparatus.SOLUTION: An electrochemical apparatus 10 includes an electrochemical cell 15 which is arranged in a reaction vessel 11 and provided with a hydrogen electrode 13 and an oxygen electrode 14, formed in a solid oxide electrolyte 12, gas supply lines 17 (17a, 17b) which supply a supply gas causing a water vapor electrolysis reaction or a fuel cell reaction in the electrochemical cell 15 to the hydrogen electrode 13 and the oxygen electrode 14, respectively, and a first heat exchange part 18 which is provided within the reaction vessel 11 and transfers heat energy generated by the water vapor electrolysis reaction or the fuel cell reaction to the gas supply line 17 allowing the supply gas to flow through.
【課題】簡易な構成で、装置内部で発生する熱エネルギーを有効に利用する電気化学装置を提供する。【解決手段】電気化学装置10は、反応容器11の内部に設けられ、固体酸化物電解質12に水素極13及び酸素極14を形成した電気化学セル15と、電気化学セル15で水蒸気電解反応又は燃料電池反応を起こさせる供給ガスを水素極13及び酸素極14のそれぞれに供給するガス供給ライン17(17a、17b)と、反応容器11の内部に設けられ、水蒸気電解反応及び燃料電池反応によって電気化学セル15で生じる熱エネルギーを供給ガスが流動するガス供給ライン17に伝達させる第一熱交換部18と、を備えることを特徴とする。【選択図】 図1 |
