Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic EL display device capable of suppressing a manufacturing cost and suppressing occurrence of lighting failure after shipping.SOLUTION: The organic EL display device includes a display region (320) in which pixels each having a light-emitting region for emitting light are arranged like a matrix and an inspection region (330) formed on the periphery of the display region. The display region includes: a plurality of first electrodes (376) formed in each of the pixels; a light-emitting organic layer (383) formed in contact with the first electrodes in the light-emitting regions and composed of a plurality of organic material layers including a light-emitting layer; and a second electrode (384) formed in contact with the light-emitting organic layer and formed so as to cover the display region. The inspection region includes: an inspecting first electrode (382) electrically independent from each of the plurality of first electrodes and electrically integrated in the inspection region; an inspecting organic layer (383) composed of at least one organic material layer out of the plurality of organic material layers and formed in contact with the inspecting first electrode; and an inspecting second electrode (384) formed in contact with the inspecting organic layer. 【課題】製造コストを抑えると共に、出荷後の点灯不良の発生を抑制した有機EL表示装置を提供する。【解決手段】発光する発光領域を有する画素がマトリクス状に配置された表示領域(320)と、表示領域の周囲に形成された検査領域(330)と、を備え、表示領域は、画素にそれぞれ設けられた複数の第1電極(376)と、第1電極に発光領域において接して形成され、発光層を含む複数の有機材料の層からなる発光有機層(383)と、発光有機層に接して形成され、表示領域を覆って形成された第2電極(384)と、を有し、検査領域は、複数の第1電極の各々とは電気的に独立であると共に、検査領域において電気的に一体である検査用第1電極(382)と、複数の有機材料の層のうちの少なくとも一つの有機材料の層からなり、検査用第1電極と接している検査用有機層(383)と、検査用有機層と接して形成される検査用第2電極(384)と、を有する。【選択図】図3
