Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a document management device capable of exchanging an electronic document even between terminals having different functions.SOLUTION: A document management device 20 includes: an electronic document file storage part 214 for storing an electronic document consisting of text data and additional data added to the text data and the type of the additional data; a terminal function discrimination part 212 for discriminating a document use function disposed in a connected terminal; an electronic document file conversion part 215 for, when the additional data included in the electronic document is a type unavailable by the document use function disposed in the terminal, converting the electronic document into a format available by the terminal; and a terminal communication part 211 for transmitting the converted electronic document including at least the text data to the terminal. 【課題】異なる機能を有する端末間においても、電子文書の交換を行うことができる文書管理装置を提供する。【解決手段】文書管理装置２０は、本文データ及び前記本文データに対して付加されている付加データから成る電子文書と、前記付加データの種別とを記憶している電子文書ファイル記憶部２１４と、接続されている端末が備える文書利用機能を判別する端末機能判別部２１２と、前記電子文書に含まれる前記付加データが、前記端末が備える前記文書利用機能では利用できない種別である場合、前記電子文書を、前記端末が利用可能な形式に変換する電子文書ファイル変換部２１５と、変換された後の、少なくとも本文データを含む電子文書を、前記端末へ送信する端末通信部２１５とを備える。【選択図】図５
