Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a connection point of an optical fiber in a lengthwise direction to be positioned with relatively high accuracy in a mechanical splice.SOLUTION: A first projecting part 3a is provided on a first slope 3c and has a first end surface 3a2 and extends from a first region R1 along a bottom part 3e to reach a first boundary surface Sf23 between a second region R2 and a third region R3, and a second projecting part 3b is provided on a second slope 3d and has a second end surface 3b2 and extends from the third region R3 along the bottom part 3e to reach a second boundary surface Sf12 between the first region R1 and the second region R2. When an optical fiber F1 is inserted from the first region and an optical fiber F2 is inserted from the third region, the optical fiber F1 butts against the second end surface 3b2 of the second projecting part 3b and the optical fiber F2 butts against the first end surface 3a2 of the first projecting part 3a.
【課題】メカニカルスプライスにおいて、長手方向における光ファイバの接続点の位置決めが比較的に高い精度で行えるようにする。【解決手段】第1突出部3aは、第1斜面3cの上に設けられており、第1端面3a2を備えており、第1領域R1から底部3eに沿って第2領域R2と第3領域R3との第1境界面Sf23に至るまで延びており、第2突出部3bは、第2斜面3dの上に設けられており、第2端面3b2を備えており、第3領域R3から底部3eに沿って第1領域R1と第2領域R2との第2境界面Sf12に至るまで延びている。第1領域から光ファイバF1が挿入され、第3領域から光ファイバF2が挿入されると、光ファイバF1は、第2突出部3bの第2端面3b2に突き当たり、光ファイバF2は、第1突出部3aの第1端面3a2に突き当たる。【選択図】図1 |
