Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for decontaminating a structure surface, which, unlike a grinding-based decontamination method, can be performed at a practical cost without breaking an object, damaging the surface, generating dust, or increasing secondary contaminated waste.SOLUTION: A method for decontaminating a structure surface removes a radioactive substance attached to a structure surface by spraying a montmorillonite solution, in which finely powdered montmorillonite is dispersed in water, over a structure or the like contaminated by a radioactive substance attached to a surface thereof to adsorb the radioactive substance and cleaning and polishing the surface.
