PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simulate durability of a tire.SOLUTION: A method is for simulating durability of a tire 2 by using a computer 1. The simulation method includes: a step S1 for inputting in the computer 1 a tire model 11 that models the tire 2; a step S2 for inputting a contact surface model 21 that models a contact surface with which the tire model 11 is in contact; and a deformation process S4 in which the computer 1 calculates deformation of the tire model 11 in contact with the contact surface model 21. The deformation process S4 includes a large deformation process S43 in which the tire model 11 is more largely deformed than the state that the tire 2 is deformed under a standard load Ls. 【課題】タイヤの耐久性をシミュレーションする。【解決手段】タイヤ２の耐久性を、コンピュータ１を用いてシミュレーションするための方法である。本発明のシミュレーション方法では、コンピュータ１に、タイヤ２をモデル化したタイヤモデル１１を入力する工程Ｓ１、タイヤモデル１１が接触する接触面をモデル化した接触面モデル２１を入力する工程Ｓ２、及び、コンピュータ１が、接触面モデル２１に接触したタイヤモデル１１の変形を計算する変形工程Ｓ４を含む。変形工程Ｓ４は、タイヤモデル１１を、タイヤ２が規格荷重Ｌｓの下で変形する状態よりも大きく変形させる大変形工程Ｓ４３を含む。【選択図】図３
