Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ice sheet management system and an ice sheet management method capable of always maintaining an ice sheet in an appropriate state.SOLUTION: An ice sheet management system includes: a brine cooler 16 cooling a cooling medium; a cooling pipe 12 that is arranged on a bottom of an ice sheet 18 and in which the cooling medium flows; a flow volume adjustment unit 14 that can adjust a flow volume of the cooling medium flowing to the cooling pipe 12; and a controller 24. The controller 24 controls the flow volume adjustment unit 14 so that a heat quantity of cold flowing from the cooling pipe 12 in the ice sheet 18 can match a heat quantity of cold flowing from a surface layer portion of the ice sheet 18 out into the atmosphere. 【課題】氷床を常に適切な状態に維持できる氷床温度管理システム及び氷床温度管理方法を提供する。【解決手段】氷床温度管理システムは、冷却媒体を冷却するブラインクーラー16と、氷床18の底部に配置されて冷却媒体が通流する冷却配管12と、冷却配管12に流れる冷却媒体の流量を調整可能な流量調整部14と、制御装置24とを有する。制御装置24は、冷却配管12から氷床18に流入する冷熱の熱量と氷床18の表層部から大気中に流出する冷熱の熱量とが一致するように、流量調整部14を制御する。【選択図】図1
