Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a muffler whose noises due to wall surface vibration is reduced by improving the rigidity in a simple configuration.SOLUTION: A muffler 1 to be mounted in an exhaust port of an engine includes a first outer wall member 10 and a second outer wall member 20 which are formed by press-molding sheet plates, and inside which space parts C1, C2 are formed by joining outer peripheral edges 11, 21 to each other, respectively, and partition plates 30, 40 whose outer peripheral edges are jointed to the first outer wall member and the second outer wall member to partition the space parts, respectively. A surface 44 of the partition plate at a position apart from its outer peripheral edge is fixed to the inner face of the first outer wall member. 【課題】簡単な構成により剛性を向上し、壁面振動による騒音を低減したマフラを提供する。【解決手段】エンジンの排気ポートに取り付けられるマフラ1を、板金をプレス成型して形成され外周縁部11,21を接合することによって内部に空間部C1、C2が形成される第1の外壁部材10及び第2の外壁部材20と、外周縁部を第1の外壁部材及び第2の外壁部材と接合され空間部内を仕切る仕切板30,40とを有し、仕切板の外周縁部から離間した箇所における表面44と第1の外壁部材の内面とを固定した構成とする。【選択図】図5
