PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crosslinked amine polymer or amide polymer effective for removing a bile acid salt from a gastrointestinal tract by being bonded with a bile acid salt.SOLUTION: The present invention provides a crosslinked amine polymer or amide polymer effective for removing a bile acid salt from a gastrointestinal tract by being bonded with a bile acid salt. By administering such a polymer bonded with bile acid or a pharmaceutical composition thereof to a subject, various conditions including hypercholesterolemia, diabetes, pruritus, irritable bowel syndrome - diarrhea (IBS-D), and bile acid malabsorption can be healed. The present invention relates generally to a polymer useful for being bonded with bile acid in a gastrointestinal tract of a patient requiring the removal of bile acid therefrom.
