Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a preparation method of a charging member with enhanced dispensability of inorganic particles in a conductive elastic layer capable of preventing rupture of a wire net of a strainer.SOLUTION: The preparation method of a charging member includes: a straining processing step in which an unvulcanized rubber composition which contains at least an unvulcanized rubber material and an inorganic particles is subjected to a straining processing by causing the unvulcanized rubber composition to pass through a strainer, which has a first wire net with opening of 0.04 -0.18 mm, a second wire net with the wire diameter of 0.16 mm or more and a breaker plate disposed being in contact with the second wire net in this order in a direction that the unvulcanized rubber composition passes from the upstream side to the downstream side; and a step of forming a conductive elastic layer which is constituted of a vulcanizate of the unvulcanized rubber composition after the straining processing over a conductive support. 【課題】ストレーナーの金網の破断を抑制し、導電性弾性層の無機粒子の分散性を高めた帯電部材の製造方法を提供すること。【解決手段】未加硫ゴム材料及び無機粒子を少なくとも含む未加硫ゴム組成物をストレーニング処理する工程であって、目開き0.04mm以上0.18mm以下の第1金網、線径0.16mm以上の第2金網、及び前記第2金網に接して配置されたブレーカプーレートを前記未加硫ゴム組成物の通過方向の上流側から下流側に向かってこの順で有するストレーナーに、前記未加硫ゴム組成物を通過させてストレーニング処理する工程と、導電性支持体上に、前記ストレーニング処理後の未加硫ゴム組成物の加硫物で構成された導電性弾性層を形成する工程と、を有する帯電部材の製造方法である。【選択図】図3
