Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode manufacturing method and an electrode manufacturing device capable of achieving satisfactory adhesion strength and productivity.SOLUTION: The electrode manufacturing device comprises: heating means 70 for drying an electrode slurry 30 containing an active material, a binder and a solvent applied to a collector 20, and evaporating the solvent; cooling means 80 for cooling the electrode slurry 30; and control means 90 for controlling the heating means 70 and the cooling means 80. The control means 90 controls the heating means 70 to dry the electrode slurry 30 at a constant drying speed, thus executes a constant rate drying for evaporating the solvent in the electrode slurry 30, and after the constant rate drying, the electrode slurry 30 is dried at gradually reducing drying speed, thus executing a reduced rate drying for evaporating the solvent. The control means 90 controls the cooling means 80 to execute intermediate cooling for cooling the electrode slurry 30 so as to make a temperature of the electrode slurry 30 being lower than an evaporating temperature of the solvent in the middle of the constant rate drying between the constant rate drying and the reduced rate drying. 【課題】良好な接着強度および生産性を達成し得る電極製造方法および電極製造装置を提供する。【解決手段】集電体20に塗布された活物質、バインダーおよび溶媒を含む電極スラリー30を乾燥し、溶媒を蒸発させるための加熱手段70と、電極スラリー30を冷却するための冷却手段80と、加熱手段70および冷却手段80を制御するための制御手段90と、を有する。制御手段90は、加熱手段70を制御することにより、電極スラリー30の乾燥速度が一定となるように電極スラリー30を乾燥し、溶媒を蒸発させる定率乾燥を実行させ、また、定率乾燥の後において、電極スラリー30の乾燥速度が徐々に減少するように電極スラリー30を乾燥し、溶媒を蒸発させる減率乾燥を実行させる。また、制御手段90は、冷却手段80を制御することにより、定率乾燥の途中あるいは定率乾燥と減率乾燥との間において、電極スラリー30の温度が溶媒の蒸発可能温度より低くなるように、電極スラリー30を冷却する中間冷却を実行させる。【選択図】図2
