Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inhibit generation of rattle noise while suppressing deterioration of fuel economy.SOLUTION: A power transmission device for a hybrid vehicle includes: a transmission 20 having a plurality of gear shift rotating elements enabling differential rotation; a differential 30 having a plurality of differential rotating elements enabling differential rotation; and an HVECU. The transmission 20 includes: a clutch CL1 having a first engaging member and a second engaging member; a brake BK1 that has a first engaging member and a second engaging member and prohibits rotation of the first engaging member during complete engagement; a carrier C1 connected to a rotating shaft 11 of an engine and the second engaging member of the clutch CL1; and a sun gear S1 connected to the first engaging member of the clutch CL1 and the first engaging member of the brake BK1. The differential 30 includes: a carrier C2 connected to a ring gear R1 of the transmission 20; a sun gear S2 connected to a rotating shaft 12 of an MG1; and a ring gear R2 connected to a rotating shaft 13 of an MG2 and a driving wheel W.
