Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a resin composition for a light scattering layer, in which wavelength dependence of an improvement rate of light extraction efficiency is small, and which is usable in a wide wavelength region; a light scattering layer formed by using the same; and an organic EL device including such a light scattering layer.SOLUTION: A resin composition for a light scattering layer comprises: a binder material including at least one kind of resin (A); and light scattering particles (B). The light scattering particles (B) are composed of hollow particles. In the resin composition for light scattering layer, the average particle diameter on the particles is 200-600 nm; the content of particles having a particle diameter of 600 nm or larger is 20 vol.% or less relative to the total amount of the light scattering particles (B). The refractive index difference between the binder material and the light scattering particles (B) is 0.1 or larger. A light scattering layer 12 is formed by use of the composition. An organic EL device 1 comprises the light scattering layer. 【課題】光取り出し効率向上率の波長依存性が小さく、広い波長領域で用いることが出来る光散乱層用樹脂組成物、これを用いて形成された光散乱層、並びに、この光散乱層を具備する有機EL装置を提供する。【解決手段】少なくとも1種の樹脂(A)を含むバインダー材料と光散乱粒子(B)とからなり、光散乱粒子(B)は、中空粒子であり、前記光散乱層用樹脂組成物中の平均粒子径が200nm以上600nm以下であり、かつ、光散乱粒子(B)の全量に対する粒子径600nm以上の粒子の含有量が20体積%以下であり、前記バインダー材料と光散乱粒子(B)との屈折率差が0.1以上である光散乱層用樹脂組成物、これを用いて形成された光散乱層12、並びに、この光散乱層を具備する有機EL装置1。【選択図】図1
