Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving characteristic determination system capable of determining characteristic of driving by a driver with high accuracy based on surrounding images imaged by a camera loaded on a vehicle.SOLUTION: The characteristic of a user's driving of a vehicle 1 is determined based on surrounding images imaged by a vehicle loaded camera 2. A vehicle loaded communication device 10 transmits information obtained from: a vehicle loaded camera 2; a vehicle speed sensor 3; an acceleration sensor 4; and a GPS receiver 5, etc. to a driving characteristic determination device 40. The driving characteristic determination device 40 determines the driving characteristic by determining a condition for vehicle speed of the vehicle 1 based on the imaged images by the vehicle loaded camera 2 received from the vehicle loaded communication device 10 and determining according to whether or not the determined conditions are fulfilled. The driving characteristic determination device 40 carries out, for example, statuary speed determination, corner speed determination, a temporary stop determination and inter-vehicle distance determination, etc. based on the imaged images by the vehicle loaded camera 2.
【課題】車輌に搭載したカメラが撮像した周辺の画像に基づいて、精度よく運転者の運転の特徴を判定することができる運転特徴判定システムを提供する。【解決手段】車輌1の車載カメラ2が撮像した周辺の画像に基づいて、車輌1に対するユーザの運転の特徴を判定する。車載通信装置10は、車載カメラ2、車速センサ3、加速度センサ4及びGPS受信機5等から得られる情報を運転特徴判定装置40へ送信する。運転特徴判定装置40は、車載通信装置10から受信した車載カメラ2の撮像画像に基づいて、車輌1の車速に対する条件を決定し、決定した条件を満たすか否かに応じて運転特徴の判定を行う。運転特徴判定装置40は、車載カメラ2の撮像画像に基づいて、例えば法定速度判定、コーナー速度判定、一時停止判定及び車間距離判定等を行う。【選択図】図1 |
