Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to appropriately write a video signal to a pixel and achieve appropriate image display without occurrence of a problem that a source drive IC generates heat even if the size of a panel increases and higher definition is provided.SOLUTION: An EL display device includes: a source signal line 18; a gate signal line 17a; and a gate signal line 17b. A pixel 16 includes: a driving transistor 11a; a switching transistor 11b; and a switching transistor 11d, and a gate terminal of the switching transistor 11b is connected to the gate signal line 17a. The switching transistor 11b is turned on and the switching transistor 11d is turned on for a first period, whereby a first voltage is supplied to the source signal line 18, and the switching transistor 11b is turned off and the switching transistor 11d is turned on by applying a selection voltage to the gate signal line 17b for a second period, whereby a video signal is applied to a gate terminal of the driving transistor 11a.
【課題】パネルが大型化、高精細化されてもソースドライバICの発熱問題が発生せず、良好に画素に映像信号を書き込め、良好な画像表示を実現する。【解決手段】ソース信号線18と、ゲート信号線17aとゲート信号線17bを具備し、画素16は、駆動用トランジスタ11aと、スイッチ用トランジスタ11bと、スイッチ用トランジスタ11dとを有し、スイッチ用トランジスタ11bのゲート端子は、ゲート信号線17aに接続されており、第1の期間に、スイッチ用トランジスタ11bがオンし、スイッチ用トランジスタ11dがオンすることにより、第1の電圧がソース信号線18に供給され、第2の期間に、スイッチ用トランジスタ11bがオフし、ゲート信号線17bにスイッチ用トランジスタ11dがオンすることにより、映像信号が駆動用トランジスタ11aのゲート端子に印加される。【選択図】図3 |
