PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable information terminal capable of combining a plurality of selection items by a simple operation.SOLUTION: A portable information terminal 100 comprises: a display unit 11 for displaying a drawing screen 110; a touch panel 10 for accepting an operation by a user on the drawing screen 110 including a selection list area 112 for displaying a pattern part 5 which is an input candidate and a selection reflection area 113 for displaying the selected pattern part 5, both areas being displayed on the display unit 11; and a control unit 2 for exerting first control for moving, on the basis of a single first operation performed on the pattern part 5 by the user in contact therewith, the pattern part 5 displayed on the selection list area 112 toward the selection reflection area 113 in a first direction heading from the selection list area 112 toward the selection reflection area 113, and a second control for returning, on the basis of a single second operation performed on the pattern part 5 by the user out of contact therewith, the pattern part 5 back to the selection list area 112 in a second direction opposite the first direction. 【課題】簡単な操作により、複数の選択項目を組み合わせることが可能な携帯情報端末を提供する。【解決手段】この携帯情報端末１００は、描画画面１１０を表示する表示部１１と、表示部１１に表示され、入力候補の絵柄パーツ５を表示する選択リスト領域１１２と、選択された絵柄パーツ５を表示する選択反映領域１１３とを含む描画画面１１０においてユーザによる操作を受け付けるタッチパネル１０と、選択リスト領域１１２から選択反映領域１１３に向く第１方向に、絵柄パーツ５にユーザが触れた状態で行う単一の第１操作に基づいて、選択リスト領域１１２に表示される絵柄パーツ５を、選択反映領域１１３に移動させる第１制御と、第１方向とは逆の第２方向に、絵柄パーツ５にユーザが触れた状態で行う単一の第２操作に基づいて、絵柄パーツ５を、再び選択リスト領域１１２に戻す第２制御とを行う制御部２とを備える。【選択図】図４
