Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide, while being provided with equivalent performance to a spectrometer, a method and device for estimating the wavelength of a luminous body with high throughput.SOLUTION: There are provided a method and device for estimating an estimated wavelength of a luminous body on the basis of a preregistered wavelength estimation function and an observed luminance ratio, the method and device comprising: a first observed luminance value output unit provided with a first observation unit for transmitting and observing light of a longer wavelength than a first wavelength which is a criterion for normal light emission and a second observation unit for transmitting and observing light of a shorter wavelength than a second wavelength which is a criterion for normal light emission, the first wavelength being set to shorter than the second wavelength, the first observed luminance value output unit outputting, as a first observed luminance value, the luminance of a specified portion observed by the first observation unit; a second observed luminance value output unit for outputting, as a second observed luminance value, the luminance of a specified portion observed by the second observation unit; and an observed luminance ratio output unit for outputting, as an observed luminance ratio, a ratio of the first observed luminance value to the second observed luminance value. 【課題】 分光測定器と同等の性能を備えつつ、高スループットで発光体の波長推定ができる方法及び装置を提供する。【解決手段】 正常発光の判定基準となる第1の波長よりも長い波長の光を透過させて観察する第1観察部と、正常発光の判定基準となる第2の波長よりも短い波長の光を透過させて観察する第2観察部とを備え、第1の波長は第2の波長よりも短く設定され、発光体から発せられる光のうち、第1観察部で観察された当該特定部位の輝度を第1観察輝度値として出力する、第1観察輝度値出力部と、第2観察部で観察された当該特定部位の輝度を第2観察輝度値として出力する、第2観察輝度値出力部と、第1観察輝度値と第2観察輝度値との比率を観察輝度比率として出力する、観察輝度比率出力部を備え、予め登録しておいた波長推定関数と、観察輝度比率とに基づいて、発光体の推定波長を推定する方法及び装置。【選択図】 図1
