Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition for an electrochemical device electrode binder which makes possible to curtail a decrease of capacity in high-speed discharge, to manufacture a secondary battery superior in cycle characteristics, and to form an electrode achieving good adhesion with a current collector.SOLUTION: A composition for an electrochemical device electrode binder is used to form a positive electrode of a lithium ion battery using a lithium iron phosphate as an electrode active material. The composition for an electrochemical device electrode binder comprises: (a3) a polymer including a constitutional unit originating from a (meth)acrylic acid ester compound; and (B) a dispersant. Preferably, the quantity of use of (a3)the polymer including a constitutional unit originating from a (meth)acrylic acid ester compound is 5-40 pts.mass to 100 pts.mass of (a3) the polymer. 【課題】高速放電での容量低下が少なく、サイクル特性に優れる二次電池を製造可能であり、集電体との密着性が良好な電極を形成可能な電気化学デバイス電極バインダー用組成物を提供する。【解決手段】電極活物質であるリン酸鉄リチウムを用いたリチウムイオン電池の正極を形成するために用いられ、(a3)(メタ)アクリル酸エステル化合物に由来する構成単位を含む重合体と、(B)分散媒と、を含有する電気化学デバイス電極バインダー用組成物。好ましくは、(a3)(メタ)アクリル酸エステル化合物に由来する構成単位を含む重合体は、その使用量が、(a3)(メタ)アクリル酸エステル化合物に由来する構成単位を含む重合体100質量部に対し、5〜40質量部である。【選択図】なし
