Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce flow passage resistance in discharging developer from a developer supply container, and to supply toner reliably.SOLUTION: A developer supply container is contained in a container frame body, has elastic resilience, and includes a developer discharge passage for discharging developer stored in a developer storage bag storing the developer to the outside of the developer supply container. At least a part between the container frame body and the developer storage bag forms an airtight chamber. The developer supply container includes: negative pressure maintaining/releasing means which maintains and releases a negative pressure state where the atmospheric pressure of the airtight chamber is lower than the atmospheric pressure at the outside of the developer supply container when the developer storage bag is contracted by elastic resilience of the developer storage bag; and volume increasing means which varies the volume of the airtight chamber. After the volume increasing means increases the volume of the airtight chamber, the negative pressure maintaining/releasing means releases the negative pressure state, and the developer stored in the developer storage bag is supplied to a device body. 【課題】現像剤が現像剤補給容器から排出される際の流路抵抗を低減させることができ、確実にトナーの供給をする。【解決手段】容器枠体に内包され、弾性復元力を有し、現像剤を収容する現像剤収容袋に収容されている現像剤を現像剤補給容器の外部へ排出するための現像剤排出路とを具備し、容器枠体と現像剤収容袋との間の空間の少なくとも一部は気密室を構成し、現像剤補給容器は、現像剤収容袋の弾性復元力により現像剤収容袋が収縮することにより気密室の気圧が現像剤補給容器の外部の気圧よりも低い負圧状態の維持及び解除が可能な負圧維持解除手段と、気密室の容積を可変させる容積拡大手段とをさらに具備し、容積拡大手段により気密室の容積が拡大された後に、負圧維持解除手段により負圧状態が解除されて現像剤収容袋に収容されている現像剤が装置本体に供給される。【選択図】図3
