Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide, as a material for an organic electroluminescent element of high efficiency and high durability, an organic compound having excellent characteristics such as excellent electron implantation and transport capability, hole-blocking ability, and a high stability in a thin film state, and further to provide, by using this compound, an organic electroluminescent element of high efficiency and high durability.SOLUTION: Provided is a compound comprising an indoloquinoxaline ring structure represented by the following general formula (1). In an organic electroluminescent element having a pair of electrodes and at least one organic layer sandwiched between them, the compound is employed as a constituent material of at least one organic layer. 【課題】高効率、高耐久性の有機エレクトロルミネッセンス素子用の材料として、電子の注入・輸送性能に優れ、正孔阻止能力を有し、薄膜状態での安定性が高い優れた特性を有する有機化合物を提供し、さらにこの化合物を用いて、高効率、高耐久性の有機エレクトロルミネッセンス素子を提供すること。【解決手段】下記一般式(1)で表されるインドロキノキサリン環構造を有する化合物であり、一対の電極とその間に挟まれた少なくとも一層の有機層を有する有機エレクトロルミネッセンス素子において、該化合物が、少なくとも1つの有機層の構成材料として用いられていることを特徴とする有機エレクトロルミネッセンス素子。【化1】【選択図】なし
