PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel ascorbic acid derivative or a salt thereof in which the excellent functions which the ascorbic acid owns such as whitening effect and collagen production promoting effect are enhanced, and to provide an ascorbic acid derivative having an excellent collagen production promoting effect, and to provide a cosmetic containing the same.SOLUTION: Provided are an ascorbic acid derivative or a salt thereof into which of a hydroxyl group a silyl group and/or an acyl group are introduced, and a collagen production promoting agent comprising the novel ascorbic acid derivative or the salt thereof as an active ingredient, and a cosmetic containing the same. 【課題】美白効果、コラーゲン産生促進効果等のアスコルビン酸が有する優れた機能を更に高めた、新規なアスコルビン酸誘導体又はその塩を提供し、優れたコラーゲン産生促進効果を有するアスコルビン酸誘導体、並びにそれらを配合した化粧料を提供する。【解決手段】アスコルビン酸の水酸基にシリル基及び／又はアシル基を導入した、アスコルビン酸誘導体又はその塩、並びにこの新規なアスコルビン酸誘導体又はその塩を、有効成分としたコラーゲン産生促進剤、及びそれらを配合した化粧料。【選択図】 なし
