Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image formation device that ensures data about the amounts of components used memorized in a non-volatile memory until the data reaches an estimated amounts of the components used.SOLUTION: The image formation device comprises a plurality of cartridges, which have a non-volatile memory 7 and perform image formation, and a CPU 200 that controls rewriting of the non-volatile memory 7. The non-volatile memory 7 comprises a first group that stores data about corresponding cartridges and a second group that stores data different from the data of the first group. The CPU 200 determines whether rewriting of the data of the second group is performed or not according to the rewriting frequency of the non-volatile memory 7 calculated based on the data of the first group and the second group. 【課題】不揮発性メモリに記憶された構成部品の使用量に関するデータを、構成部品の想定される使用量に達するまで保証する画像形成装置を提供する。【解決手段】不揮発性メモリ７を有し画像形成を行う複数のカートリッジと、不揮発性メモリ７の書換えを制御するＣＰＵ２００と、を備えた画像形成装置であって、不揮発性メモリ７は、対応するカートリッジのデータを格納する第一のグループと、第一のグループのデータとは異なるデータを格納する第二のグループと、を備え、ＣＰＵ２００は、第一のグループ及び第二のグループのデータに基づいて算出された不揮発性メモリ７の書換え回数に応じて、第二のグループのデータの書換えを行うか否かを決定する。【選択図】図２
