Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus capable of generating both an imaging signal and a focus detection signal from an imaging element, with a small amount of correction data.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus includes an imaging element which includes a plurality of pixels corresponding to a plurality of microlenses, respectively, and includes a first photoelectric conversion part and a second photoelectric conversion part included in one of a plurality of pixels so as to share one of a plurality of microlenses, and a signal processing section for correcting a first signal, generated using addition signals outputted from the first and second photoelectric conversion parts included in one pixel, and a plurality of signals from a plurality of first photoelectric conversion parts corresponding to the plurality of microlenses. The signal processing section corrects the addition signal for each pixel, and corrects the first signal for each of the plurality of first photoelectric conversion parts.
