PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of a surface defect of a film by accurately recognizing the amount of deposits on a wall surface of an oven to clean the wall surface at a proper timing.SOLUTION: An instrument for measuring the amount of deposits on a wall surface includes a resistivity meter 11 which is brought into contact with deposits adhering to a wall surface in an oven 1 to directly detect the amount of the deposits, and a resistivity meter moving mechanism (cylinder 14) which moves a sensing part 11a of the resistivity meter in such directions that the sensing part 11a comes into contact with the wall surface and is separated from the wall surface. When the resistivity meter is made resident in the oven, it is preferable that a resistivity meter protection member (a storage box 12 and an opening/closing door 12a) is additionally provided which covers the resistivity meter to protect it from an atmosphere in the oven, and releases the protection when the resistivity meter is moved by the resistivity meter moving mechanism in such a direction as to come into contact with the wall surface. When the resistivity meter is moved from outside the oven into the oven, it is preferable that a resistivity meter transport mechanism is additionally provided which transports the resistivity meter from outside the oven toward a prescribed wall surface in the oven. 【課題】壁面付着物量を正確に把握し、適切な時期にオーブンの壁面を清掃を実行し、フィイルムの表面欠陥の発生を未然に防止する。【解決手段】オーブン１内の壁面に付着した付着物に接触してその量を直接検出する比抵抗計１１と、比抵抗計のセンシング部１１ａを壁面に接触する方向及び壁面から離間する方向に移動させる比抵抗計移動機構（シリンダー１４）とを備えた。比抵抗計がオーブン内に常設する場合には、比抵抗計を覆って炉内雰囲気から保護し比抵抗計移動機構により比抵抗計が壁面に接触させられる方向に移動させる際にその保護が解除される比抵抗計保護部材（収納箱１２、開閉扉１２ａ）が付設され、比抵抗計をオーブン外から内に移動させるものでは、比抵抗計をオーブンの外からオーブン内の所定の壁面に向けて搬送させる比抵抗計搬送機構が付設されていることが好ましい。【選択図】図１
