PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite plate material for use in store fixtures, a method for manufacturing the composite material, and a top board using the composite plate material, to which edge materials at the outer periphery of the plate material can be easily and firmly fitted.SOLUTION: A connecting plate 17 between a surface plate 15 and a back face plate 16 includes: a core material 21 consisting of a honeycomb structure board, and belt-like intermediate edge materials 22 to be bonded to a core material outer peripheral face 21a. Upper end faces 22c of the intermediate edge materials 22 are bonded to a lower face 15a of the surface plate 15, and lower end faces 22d of the intermediate edge materials 22 are bonded to an upper face 16a of the back face plate 16. Intermediate lateral surfaces 22a of the intermediate edge materials of the connecting plate 17, a surface plate peripheral surface 15b, and a back face plate outer peripheral surface 16b form a lateral plane 23 continued in flush.
