Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for identifying spatial distribution of an area in a cerebral sensory area in which an organoleptic type is increased, the need for experience sufficient for identification of an area is eliminated, and the use of stimulation every sensory area is not required.SOLUTION: A method for identifying spatial distribution of an area in a cerebral sensory area includes: a first step of determining approximate spatial distribution of at least one area in cerebrocortical sensory areas of cerebral right and left half-spheres being a target area of identification; a second step of giving sensory stimulation to the target area of the identification; a third step of measuring brain activities of a region containing the target area of the identification when sensory stimulation is given, and acquiring brain activity information; and a fourth step of finding a cross correlation function or coherence of the brain activity information between the areas of the same type in the cerebral right and left half-spheres by using the brain activity information, evaluating synchronism of the right and left half-spheres, and changing the spatial distribution determined in the first step so that the cross correlation function or coherence of the brain activity information between the areas of the same type is increased.
【課題】感覚刺激の種類を増やし、領野の同定に十分な経験を必要とせず、感覚野ごとの刺激を用いることを必要としない、脳の感覚野における領野の空間分布を同定する方法を提供する。【解決手段】同定の対象領野である脳の左右半球の大脳皮質の感覚野における少なくとも1つの領野の、おおよその空間分布を決定する第1の工程と、同定の対象領野に対して、感覚刺激を与える第2の工程と、感覚刺激を与えられているときの、同定の対象領野を含む領域の脳活動を計測し、脳活動情報を取得する第3の工程と、脳活動情報を用いて脳の左右半球における同一種類の領野間の脳活動情報の相互相関係数またはコヒーレンスを求め、左右半球の同調性を評価し、同一種類の領野間の脳活動情報の相互相関係数またはコヒーレンスが、大きくなるように第1の工程で決定した空間分布を変更する第4の工程と、を含む。【選択図】図1 |
