Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect incorporation of a foreign matter into an electrolyte reliably.SOLUTION: A secondary battery 100 includes an electrode body 10 having a positive electrode, a separator and a negative electrode, and an electrolyte 50. An inspection method of the secondary battery 100 includes a step of performing charge/discharge of the secondary battery 100 at a rate higher than that when the secondary battery 100 is used, in a state where a binding force for inspection is not applied to the electrode body 10, a step of measuring the voltage of the secondary battery 100 in a state where a binding force is applied to the electrode body 10, and a step of determining incorporation of a foreign matter into an electrolyte 50 on the basis of the drop of the voltage.
