Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical module that allows surface mounting by a reflow furnace, and emits a laser beam without extending an optical fiber outside a mounting substrate.SOLUTION: An optical module 1 comprises: a plurality of optical elements 21-23 emitting red, green and blue laser beams; a plurality of optical fibers 51-53 guiding the respective colour laser beams from the plurality of optical elements; a mounting substrate 10 which includes the plurality of optical elements mounted on a top face and in which an electrode for supplying an electric signal to the plurality of optical elements is formed as a through electrode penetrating from the top face to a bottom face; and a multiplexed part 70 arranged at a corner of the mounting substrate 10, and emitting multiplexed light obtained by multiplexing the respective colour laser beams by bundling and fixing emission ends of the plurality of optical fibers 51-53. 【課題】リフロー炉による表面実装が可能であり、光ファイバを実装基板の外部に引き伸ばさずにレーザ光を出射する光モジュールを提供する。【解決手段】光モジュール1は、赤色、緑色および青色の各色レーザ光を出射する複数の光素子21〜23と、複数の光素子からの各色レーザ光をそれぞれ導波する複数の光ファイバ51〜53と、複数の光素子が上面に実装され、複数の光素子に電気信号を供給するための電極が上面から底面に貫通する貫通電極として形成された実装基板10と、実装基板10の角部に配置され、複数の光ファイバ51〜53の出射端部を束ねて固定することで、各色レーザ光が合波された合波光を出射する合波部70とを有する。【選択図】図1
