Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent developer from clogging due to the resistance of a flow channel when the developer is replenished from a developer replenishment container to an apparatus body of an image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: A developer replenishment container can be removably attached to an apparatus body of an image forming apparatus for replenishing developer to the apparatus body, and includes a container frame body, a developer storage bag that is included in the container frame body, has elastic restoring force, and accommodates developer, and a developer exhaust passage for exhausting the developer accommodated in the developer storage bag to the outside of the developer replenishment container, where the container frame body and developer storage bag have a space therebetween to constitute an airtight chamber. The developer replenishment container further includes negative pressure maintaining and releasing means capable of maintaining and releasing a negative pressure state in which the developer storage bag is shrunk due to the elastic restoring force of the developer storage bag and thereby the pressure in the airtight chamber becomes lower than the pressure outside the developer replenishment container.
【課題】現像剤補給容器から画像形成装置の装置本体の現像剤を補給する際の流路抵抗による現像剤の詰まりなどを防止する。【解決手段】画像形成装置の装置本体に着脱可能で、装置本体に現像剤を補給するための現像剤補給容器であって、容器枠体と、容器枠体に内包され、弾性復元力を有し、現像剤を収容する現像剤収容袋と、現像剤収容袋に収容されている現像剤を現像剤補給容器の外部へ排出するための現像剤排出路とを具備し、容器枠体と現像剤収容袋との間の空間は気密室を構成し、現像剤補給容器は、現像剤収容袋の弾性復元力により現像剤収容袋が収縮することにより気密室の気圧が現像剤補給容器の外部の気圧よりも低い負圧状態の維持と解除とが可能な負圧維持解除手段をさらに具備する。【選択図】図3 |
