Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic measurement method for dimensional data with a laser tracker, which enables the dimensional data to be more easily measured.SOLUTION: Measuring with a system having retroreflector targets 26 and a laser tracker 10 includes: storing a list of nominal coordinates for three targets and one or more added points; capturing on a photosensitive array of a camera provided in the tracker a portion reflected by the three targets, of light emitted from a light source; measuring spot positions on the photosensitive array; identifying a correspondence relation between three spot positions on the photosensitive array and the nominal coordinates of the three targets; directing a beam of light emitted from the tracker to the three targets based at least in part on the spot positions and the target nominal coordinates; measuring three-dimensional coordinates of the three targets with the tracker; and obtaining three-dimensional coordinates of the added points based at least in part on the three-dimensional coordinate measurement results of the three targets and the nominal coordinates of the one or more added points. 【課題】より簡易に計測できるレーザトラッカによる寸法データの自動計測方法を提供する。【解決手段】再帰反射ターゲット26及びレーザトラッカ10を備えるシステムでの計測に際し、3個あるターゲット及び1個又は複数個ある補助点の定格座標をリスト化保存し、光源出射光のうち3個あるターゲットで反射された部分をトラッカに備わるカメラの感光アレイで受光し、感光アレイ上にもたらすスポットの位置を計測し、感光アレイ上での三通りのスポット位置と三通りあるターゲットの定格座標との対応関係を特定し、スポット位置及びターゲット定格座標に少なくとも部分的に基づきトラッカ出射光ビームを3個あるターゲットに差し向け、3個あるターゲットの三次元座標をトラッカで計測し、3個あるターゲットについての三次元座標計測結果並びに1個又は複数個ある補助点の定格座標に少なくとも部分的に基づき補助点の三次元座標を求める。【選択図】図5A
