Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting device and a luminaire that implement improved reliability while implementing a compact size.SOLUTION: A lighting device 10 includes a filter 1, a first rectification circuit 2 and a DC-DC converter 3. An output end 2a of the first rectification circuit 2 is connected to a first main terminal of a switching element Q1 via an inductor L1, a diode D1 with a capacitor C3 connected in parallel, and a primary winding N1, the first main terminal is connected to an anode of the diode D1 via a capacitor C1, a second main terminal is connected to an output end 2b and to a cathode of the diode D1 via a capacitor C2, and a control terminal is connected to a control circuit 5. One end of a secondary winding N2 is connected to the other end of the secondary winding N2 via a series circuit of diodes D2, D3 connected in anti-series, an inductor L2 and a capacitor C4 are connected in series between cathodes of the diodes D2, D3 and an anode of the diode D3, and a load can be connected in parallel with the capacitor C4. 【課題】小型化を図りながらも、信頼性の向上を図ることが可能な点灯装置および照明器具を提供する。【解決手段】点灯装置10は、フィルタ1、第1整流回路2、DC−DCコンバータ3を備え、第1整流回路2の出力端2aは、インダクタL1、コンデンサC3が並列接続されたダイオードD1、一次巻線N1を介してスイッチング素子Q1の第1主端子に接続され、第1主端子は、コンデンサC1を介してダイオードD1のアノードに接続され、第2主端子は、出力端2bと、コンデンサC2を介したダイオードD1のカソードとに接続され、制御端子は、制御回路5に接続される。二次巻線N2の一端は、逆直列接続されたダイオードD2,D3の直列回路を介して二次巻線N2の他端に接続され、各ダイオードD2,D3のカソードとダイオードD3のアノードとの間にインダクタL2、コンデンサC4が直列接続され、コンデンサC4と並列に負荷を接続することができる。【選択図】図1
