Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sulfur trioxide (SO) concentration measuring apparatus suitable for easily and continuously measuring the SOconcentration of combustion exhaust gas flowing in a gas duct, and to provide a blue smoke alarm apparatus suitable for reporting the possibility that blue smoke of SOorigin is discharged from a chimney connected to the gas duct.SOLUTION: The apparatus for reporting the possibility that blue smoke of SOorigin is discharged from a chimney, includes: means for extracting a part of the gas containing SOand moisture vapor from a gas duct connected to a chimney; means for generating sulfuric acid mist by cooling the extracted gas; means for radiating light to the gas having generated the sulfuric acid mist and measuring the intensity of the transmitted light; means for calculating the SOconcentration on the basis of the measured intensity of the transmitted light; means for comparing the calculated value of SOconcentration with a set value; and means for indicating the comparison result. 【課題】煙道を流れる燃焼排ガスの三酸化硫黄(SO3)濃度を簡易且つ連続的に測定するのに好適なSO3濃度測定装置及び前記煙道から通じる煙突においてSO3由来の紫煙が放出される可能性を通知するのに好適な紫煙警報装置を提供する。【解決手段】煙突に通じる煙道からSO3及び水蒸気を含むガスの一部を抜き取る手段、 抜き取ったガスを冷やして硫酸ミストを発生させる手段、 硫酸ミストの発生したガスに光を当て、透過する光の強度を測定する手段、 測定された透過光の強度に基づいてSO3濃度を算定する手段、 算定されたSO3濃度の値を設定値と比較する手段、および 比較した結果を示す手段を有する、煙突においてSO3由来の紫煙が放出される可能性を通知する装置。【選択図】図1
