PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal cap excellent in breaking property on a skirt part.SOLUTION: The metal cap comprises: a top plate; a cylindrical part suspending from the peripheral edge of the top plate; a bridge part connected to the cylindrical part; and a skirt part connected to the cylindrical part via the bridge part. The skirt part has an engagement part to be engaged to an annular step part on a lower part of a bottle type container mouth part when the metal cap is attached to the bottle type container, and the engagement part regulates vertical movement of the skirt part. On the metal cap, a breaking line starting from the lower end of the skirt part is provided. 【課題】裾部の破断性に優れた金属製キャップを提供すること。【解決手段】天板と、その周縁から垂下する筒状部と、該筒状部に接続する橋絡部と、該橋絡部を介して該筒状部に接続される裾部とを備え、ボトル型容器装着時に該ボトル型容器口部下方の環状段部に係合する係止部が該裾部に形成され、該係止部により該裾部の上下動の動きが規制される金属製キャップにおいて、該裾部の下端から始まる破断線が設けられていることを特徴とする。【選択図】図１
