Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catheter including an electroconductive composite fiber that is durable, so flexible as to reduce damage on biological tissue, and less likely to cause blood coagulation, which improves biocompatibility.SOLUTION: The catheter, which includes the electroconductive composite fiber, comprises a lead wire and an electrode section disposed at the end of the lead wire. The lead wire comprises (i) a conductor including the electroconductive composite fiber which contains an electroconductive polymer, and (ii) an insulator which coats the conductor and contains fluorine-containing polyimide. The electrode section includes (i) the conductor including the electroconductive composite fiber which contains the electroconductive polymer. 【課題】本発明は耐久性に優れ、柔軟で生体組織のダメージが少なく、更に血液凝固が起こりにくい生体適合性に優れた導電性複合繊維を含むカテーテルを提供することを目的とする。【解決手段】本発明は、導電性複合繊維を含むカテーテルに関する。このカテーテルは、リード線及び前記リード線の端部に配置された電極部を備え、前記リード線は、(i)導電性高分子を含有する導電性複合繊維を含む導電体、及び、(ii)前記導電体を被覆する、フッ素含有ポリイミドを含む絶縁体を含み、前記電極部は、前記導電性高分子を含有する導電性複合繊維を含む上記(i)の導電体を含むことを特徴とする。【選択図】図1
