Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic photoelectric conversion element and an organic thin film solar battery which are superior in performance by use of a p-type organic semiconductor compound having a deep LUMO level, a lowered band gap and an absorption edge of a long wavelength, and to provide a composition, a coating film and a compound which are used therefor, and a method for manufacturing such compound.SOLUTION: An organic photoelectric conversion element comprises a first electrode, a photoelectric conversion layer including a compound including a constitutional unit expressed by the formula (A) below, and a second electrode. An organic thin film solar battery comprises the organic photoelectric conversion element. A composition, a coating film and a compound are used therefor. Further, a method for manufacturing such a compound is provided.
