Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separator for a battery which is excellent in heat resistance and has electrode isolation performance and whose internal resistance is reduced.SOLUTION: Disclosed is a separator for a battery which is formed by laminating a polyolefin microporous film and a polyester nonwoven fabric. The polyester nonwoven fabric is made of a stretched fine fiber and an unstretched fine fiber. The fiber diameter of the stretched fine fiber and the fiber diameter of the unstretched fine fiber are 0.80 to 2.00. The content of the non-unstretched fine fiber is 30 mass% or less. 【課題】本発明の課題は、耐熱性に優れ、電極隔離能力を有し、内部抵抗が低減化された電池用セパレータを提供することである。【解決手段】ポリオレフィン微多孔膜とポリエステル不織布が積層されてなる電池用セパレータにおいて、当該ポリエステル不織布が延伸微細繊維と未延伸微細繊維よりなり、延伸微細繊維の繊維径/未延伸微細繊維の繊維径が0.80から2.00であり、未延伸微細繊維の含有量が30質量%以下であることを特徴する電池用セパレータ。【選択図】なし
