Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a COheat pump water heater including an evaporator the performance of which can be exhibited to a maximum according to heating capability.SOLUTION: In a COheat pump water heater of the present invention, an evaporator 103 is a cross-fin tube type evaporator that implements heat exchange between air and refrigerant by fixing a fin group 3 serving as an air-side heat transfer surface and an evaporator-refrigerant flow path group constituted by a plurality of evaporator-refrigerant flow paths 4 aligned in a direction orthogonal to an air flow so that the evaporator-refrigerant flow paths 4 penetrate the fin group 3 generally at a right angle. The evaporator 103 satisfies the following Expression (1) of P≤64/33×Q if it is assumed that an inside diameter of each evaporator refrigerant flow path 4 is 4.3 mm to 4.9 mm, a heating capability of the COheat pump water heater for heating water is Q, and that the number of branches of the evaporator refrigerant flow path 4 is P. 【課題】本発明の課題は、加熱能力に応じて性能を最大化することができる蒸発器を備えるCO2ヒートポンプ式給湯装置を提供する。【解決手段】本発明のCO2ヒートポンプ式給湯装置は、蒸発器103が空気側の伝熱面であるフィン群3と、空気流に直交する方向に並べられた複数の蒸発器冷媒流路4からなる蒸発器冷媒流路群と、をほぼ直角に貫通するように固定することで空気と冷媒間で熱交換を行わせるクロスフィンチューブ型のものであり、前記蒸発器103は、前記蒸発器冷媒流路4の内径を4.3mm〜4.9mmとし、CO2ヒートポンプ式給湯装置の水に対する加熱能力をQとし、前記蒸発器冷媒流路4の流路分岐数をPとした場合に、次式(1):P 64/33?Q ・・・(1)を満足することを特徴とする。【選択図】図2
