Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve high output of magnet type rotary electric machinery that is able to improve output without increasing size and cost thereof.SOLUTION: An AC dynamo for a vehicle, according to the invention, comprises a fly wheel 3 having an internal peripheral wall rotating together with a shaft; a rotor 1 having main magnets 4 and auxiliary magnets 5 arranged along a circumferential direction of the internal peripheral wall such that one alternates the other; and a stator 2 provided on the inner diameter side of this rotor 1 and forming a magnetic circuit in cooperation with the rotor. The main magnets 4 are arranged such that each main magnet 4 is magnetized to N pole and S pole in a radial direction thereof and is magnetized in a magnetic pole opposite to that of the main magnet 4 skipped over its adjacent auxiliary magnet 5. The auxiliary magnet 5 are arranged such that each auxiliary magnet 5 is magnetized in N pole and S pole in a circumferential direction thereof and also magnetized in a magnetic pole opposite to that of auxiliary magnet 5 skipped over the adjacent main magnet 4. 【課題】大型化、高コストを招くことなく出力を向上させることができる磁石式回転電機の高出力化を図る。【解決手段】この発明の車両用交流発電機は、シャフトとともに回転する内周壁面を有するフライホイール3と、内周壁面の周方向に沿って交互に配置された、主磁石4及び補助磁石5を有する回転子1と、この回転子1の内径側に設けられ、回転子と協同して磁気回路を形成する固定子2と、を備え、各主磁石4は、径方向においてN極、S極に着磁されているとともに、隣接した補助磁石5を飛び越えた主磁石4とは互いに逆磁性に着磁されて配列されており、各補助磁石5は、周方向においてN極、S極に着磁されているとともに、隣接した主磁石4を飛び越えた補助磁石5とは互いに逆磁性に着磁されて配列されている。【選択図】図4
