Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophoretic gel holder and an electrophoretic method, capable of preventing liquids for electrophoresis, which are respectively fed into a plurality of liquid-feeding parts, from being mixed.SOLUTION: An electrophoretic gel holder GH includes a cassette 150 and a holder body 100. The cassette 150 includes light-transmissive transparent plates 154 and 156 for holding gel 152. The holder body 100 includes a recess 110 into which the cassette 150 is fitted. The recess 110 includes a central part 111, frame parts 116 and 118, and liquid-feeding parts 112 and 114. In the liquid-feeding parts 112 and 114, electrodes 120 and 122 are arranged, respectively. A sealant 300 prevents a liquid between the liquid-feeding parts 112 and 114 from advancing through the frame parts 116 and 118.
