Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly detect presence/absence of a person by restricting a human body detection area of a human body sensor to a necessary range, and to achieve power saving surely without a user operating.SOLUTION: An electric carpet 10A, which is an electric apparatus 10, includes a power supply and a human body sensor 12 being interlocked with the control of the power supply. A detection area A of the human body sensor 12 is set to be restricted to a predetermined range substantially approximating to a shape of the electric carpet 10A. The human body sensor 12 comprises an infrared sensor including a light receiving element for receiving infrared ray energy made incident and a lens for condensing light on the light receiving element. It restricts the detection area by lowering light receiving sensitivity of an unnecessary part by partially changing thickness of the lens. 【課題】 人体感知センサの人体感知エリアを必要な範囲に限定して人の有無を適正に感知し、使用者が操作することなく節電を確実に実現することができる。【解決手段】 電気機器10である電気カーペット10Aは、電源と、この電源の制御に連動する人体感知センサ12とを備えている。人体感知センサ12の感知エリアAは、電気カーペット10Aの形状に略近似する所定の範囲に限定されるように設定されている。人体感知センサ12は、入射される赤外線エネルギーを受光する受光素子と、この受光素子に集光するレンズとを備えた赤外線センサから成り、レンズの厚みを部分的に変更して不要な部分の受光感度を低下させることにより、感知エリアを限定している。【選択図】 図1
