PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tide embankment with a transparent plate for easily replacing the transparent plate when the transparent plate is reduced in transparency by a flaw of a surface or the like, and to particularly provide the tide embankment excellent in an appearance and hardly generating rust or the like in a component, with a simple structure.SOLUTION: In a tide embankment 1, an opening 3 penetrating in the thickness direction is provided in a wall 2, and a transparent plate 10 is installed in the opening 3. A vertical directional surface 8 of turning to the water side is provided on the wall 2 being an outer peripheral part of the opening 3 in any position in the thickness direction, and a stop plate 11 including a parallel part 11a to the vertical directional surface 8 is provided in a peripheral part of the opening 3 in a position of placing an interval to the water side from the vertical directional surface 8, and an outer edge part 10a of the transparent plate 10 is sandwiched between the vertical directional surface 8 and the parallel part 11a of the stop plate 11. 【課題】 透明板が表面の傷等によって透明度を低下させたとき、その透明板を容易に取り替えできるようにした透明板付き防潮壁を提供する。とくに、構造が簡単で、外観にすぐれ、部品にサビ等が発生しにくいものを提供する。【解決手段】 防潮壁１は、厚さ方向に貫通する開口３が壁２の中に設けられていて、その開口３に透明板１０が取り付けられたものである。厚さ方向のいずれかの位置で、開口３の外周部である壁２に、水の側を向いた縦向き面８があるとともに、当該縦向き面８から水の側へ間隔をおいた位置で、上記開口３の周りの部分に、上記縦向き面８と平行な部分１１ａを含む留め板１１が設けられていて、上記縦向き面８と上記留め板１１の上記平行な部分１１ａとの間に、上記透明板１０の外縁部１０ａが挟み付けられている。【選択図】 図２
