Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joint cover which can improve sealability with a partition plate.SOLUTION: A joint cover 21 connects an opening 17D of a pinion housing 17 accommodating a pinion shaft 4 to an insertion hole 14A formed in a partition plate 14 separating the inside and outside of a vehicle cabin 15. The joint cover 21 includes a base 22, an expansion and contraction layer 23, a seal layer 24, and a guide 30. The base 22 includes a cylindrical part 26 fitted into the opening 17D and a flange part 27 arranged so as to face a peripheral part 14C of the insertion hole 14A. The expansion and contraction layer 23 is compressed between the partition plate 14 and the flange part 27. The seal layer 24 is pressed against the peripheral part 14C by the expansion and contraction layer 23 to be brought into close contact with the peripheral part 14C. The guide 30 projects closer to the partition plate 14 side than the seal layer 24 and is inserted into the insertion hole 14A. 【課題】仕切板との間での密封性の向上を図ることができるジョイントカバーを提供すること。【解決手段】ジョイントカバー21は、ピニオン軸4を収容するピニオンハウジング17の開口17Dを、車室15の内外を仕切る仕切板14に形成された挿通孔14Aに対して連結する。ジョイントカバー21は、台座22と伸縮層23とシール層24とガイド30とを含んでいる。台座22は、開口17Dに対して嵌め合わされる筒部26と挿通孔14Aの周縁部14Cに対して対向配置されるフランジ部27とを含んでいる。伸縮層23は、仕切板14とフランジ部27との間で圧縮される。シール層は、伸縮層23によって周縁部14Cに押し付けられて当該周縁部14Cに対して密着する。ガイド30は、シール層24よりも仕切板14側へ突出し、挿通孔14Aに対して挿入される。【選択図】図5
