Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle drive device including a drive wheel receiving a drive force from an internal combustion engine and a drive wheel receiving a drive force from an electric motor, and capable of the shortage of power to the electric motor and suppressing a drive device installation space.SOLUTION: A vehicle drive device 10 comprises: an internal combustion engine 11; a differential gear 13 transmitting a drive force from the internal combustion engine 11 to a first drive wheel 12; a speed-increasing gear 15 connected to a differential case 14 of the differential gear 13, and increasing a rotational speed of the differential case 14 to output power; a power generator 16 generating electric power by the power output from the speed-increasing gear 15; a clutch 17 capable of connecting/disconnecting power transmission between the speed-increasing gear 15 and the power generator 16; a controller 40 transmitting a command to engage/disengage the clutch 17; a power storage device 41 storing the electric power generated by the power generator 16; and an electric motor 43 driving a second drive wheel 42 by the electric power stored in the power storage device 41. A rotational shaft of the differential case 14, a rotational shaft of the speed-increasing gear 15, and a rotational shaft of a rotor 21 of the power generator 16 are arranged to be coaxial with one another, and the controller 40 issues a command to engage the clutch 17 according to a quantity of power stored in the power storage device 41.
【課題】電動機への電力不足を解消でき、また、駆動装置の設置スペースの抑制ができる内燃機関から駆動力を受ける駆動輪と電動機から駆動力を受ける駆動輪とを備える車両用駆動装置を提供する。【解決手段】車両用駆動装置10は、内燃機関11と、内燃機関からの駆動力を第1駆動輪12に伝達する差動装置13と、差動装置のデフケース14に接続され、デフケースの回転を増速して出力する増速機15と、増速機からの動力によって電力を発生する発電機16と、増速機と発電機との間の動力伝達を断接可能なクラッチ17と、クラッチを断接する指令を出す制御部40と、発電機が発生する電力を蓄える蓄電装置41と、蓄電装置の電力によって第2駆動輪42を駆動する電動機43とを備え、デフケースの回転軸と増速機の回転軸と発電機の回転子21の回転軸とは同軸に配置され、制御部は、蓄電装置に蓄えられた電力量に応じてクラッチを接続する指令を出す。【選択図】図1 |
