PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hollow long element having projections capable of collecting the thrombus adhering to the inner wall of a blood vessel directly around an opening by reciprocating the hollow long element in an extending direction in the blood vessel or rotating the same in a circumferential direction, thereby to suck and remove the thrombus from the opening.SOLUTION: A hollow long element 1 comprises a hollow part 2a extending in an extending direction, and a connection part to a suction apparatus leading to the hollow part, and is inserted into a body. The hollow long element 1 is formed with an opening 11 leading from an outer circumference into the hollow part, and has protrusions 12 formed on both sides across the opening of the outer circumference and individually protruded from the outer circumference and inclined toward the opening side. 【課題】血管内で延在方向に往復動させ、または周方向に回動させることにより、血管の内壁に付着した血栓を、直接開口の周りに捕集し、開口から吸引除去することができる突起の設けられた中空長尺体を提供する。【解決手段】中空長尺体１は、延在方向に沿って延びる中空部２ａと、該中空部に連なる吸引装置への接続部とを備え、体内へと挿入される中空長尺体であって、外周面から前記中空部に貫通する開口１１が設けられ、外周面の開口を挟んだ両側に、それぞれ外周面から突出するとともに、開口側に向けて傾斜する突起１２が設けられている。【選択図】図２
