Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting device in which a part of a surface is made into a rough surface part, and light is emitted while being diffused by the rough surface part.SOLUTION: A light emitting device 1 includes lead electrode 11, 12, an element housing member 13, a light emitting element 14, a resin mold 17, and a lens 20. The outer surface of the lens 20 is constituted by a phosphor-containing layer 22. A rough surface part 20a is provided on the vertex of the lens 20. Light from the light emitting element 14 is emitted from the lens 20 while the wavelength of the light is converted by the phosphor. Part of the emission light is diffused by the rough surface part 20a. Thus, the diffusion of light is made to be efficient. 【課題】表面の一部を粗面部とし、この粗面部において光を散乱させて出射させるよう構成された発光装置を提供する。【解決手段】発光装置1は、リード電極11,12と、素子収容部材13と、発光素子14と、樹脂モールド17と、レンズ20とを有する。レンズ20の外面は蛍光体含有層22にて構成されている。レンズ20の頭頂部に粗面部20aが設けられている。発光素子14からの光を蛍光体によって波長変換し、レンズ20から出射させる。出射光の一部が該粗面部20aで散乱されるため、光の拡散が効率化される。【選択図】図1
