Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reliability of a function to hold a terminal fitting by a lance.SOLUTION: A connector comprises: a pressure receiving face 16 on a front end face of a lance 12; an engaging part 36 which is formed on a terminal fitting 30 and engages to the pressure receiving face 16; an inclined face 15 which is formed on an opposite face 13 of the lance 12 to the terminal fitting 30 and is inclined rearward in such a manner that it separates from the terminal fitting 30; a guide face 18 which is formed on the pressure receiving face 16 and bends the lance 12 to the terminal fitting 30 side when the engaging part 36 presses the pressure receiving face 16; a contact face 21 which is formed in the rear of the pressure receiving face 16 of the lance 12 and faces the terminal fitting 30; and a bending restriction part 38 which is formed in the rear of the engaging part 36 of the terminal fitting 30 and faces the contact face 21 across a gap in substantially parallel to an elastic bending direction of the lance 12 when the lance 12 is in a free state. 【課題】ランスによる端子金具の保持機能の信頼性向上を図る。【解決手段】コネクタは、ランス12の前端面の受圧面16と、端子金具30に形成され受圧面16に係止する係止部36と、ランス12における端子金具30との対向面13に形成され、後方に向かって端子金具30から離間するように傾斜した傾斜面15と、受圧面16に形成され係止部36が受圧面16を押圧したときにランス12を端子金具30側へ撓ませる誘導面18と、ランス12における受圧面16よりも後方に形成されて端子金具30と対向する当接面21と、端子金具30における係止部36よりも後方に形成されランス12が自由状態のときに当接面21に対しランス12の弾性撓み方向と略平行に間隔を空けて対向する撓み規制部38を備える。【選択図】図6
