Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that changes execution time of dew condensation recovery operation according to the occurrence level of dew condensation.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 101 includes a control unit 50 that detects, with a thermistor 24 detecting the temperature of a fixing heater 20 of a fixing device 11, a temperature decreasing after the fixing heater 20 is heated to a predetermined temperature T1 to predict the temperature inside the main body of the image forming apparatus 101, and controls cleaning operation by a cleaning device 14 on the basis of the predicted temperature. 【課題】 本発明は、結露の発生レベルに応じて結露回復動作の実行時間を変化させる画像形成装置を提供することを目的としている。【解決手段】 定着装置11の定着ヒータ20の温度を検知するサーミスタ24により定着ヒータ20が所定温度Ｔ１に昇温された後に低下する温度を検知することにより画像形成装置101本体内の温度を予測し、該予測温度に基づいてクリーニング装置14によるクリーニング動作を制御する制御部50を備えたことを特徴とする。【選択図】 図６
