PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving assist device capable of collecting danger information when a vehicle travels on roads in more detail, and determining a degree of danger during traveling so as to more fit to actual road states.SOLUTION: A driving assist device comprises: surrounding object detection means detecting an object surrounding a vehicle; detected object classification means classifying the object detected by the surrounding object detection means to a specific type; traveling degree-of-danger determination means for determining a degree of danger during traveling per road interval as a degree-of-danger index during traveling for every road interval on the basis of the predetermined type of the object classified by the detected object classification means; and traveling degree-of-danger recording means recording the degree of danger during traveling per road interval determined by the traveling degree-of-danger determination means. 【課題】車両が道路を走行する際の危険情報をよりきめ細かく収集し、走行時の危険度合いを、道路の実態により即した形で決定することができる運転支援装置を提供すること。【解決手段】車両の周辺の物体を検知する周辺物体検知手段と、前記周辺物体検知手段により検知された前記物体を所定の種類に分類する検知物体分類手段と、前記検知物体分類手段により分類された前記物体の前記所定の種類に基づいて、道路区間毎の走行する際の危険度合いの指標として前記道路区間毎の走行危険度を決定する走行危険度決定手段と、前記走行危険度決定手段により決定された前記道路区間毎の走行危険度を記録する走行危険度記録手段と、を有することを特徴とする、運転支援装置。【選択図】図２
