Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combination oil ring capable of preventing deposition of carbon sludge or the like among side rails and a spacer expander even if an internal combustion engine operates for a long period of time.SOLUTION: A combination oil ring comprises: a pair of upper and lower side rails attached to an oil ring groove of a piston and each having a flat and annular shape; and a spacer expander arranged between the pair of upper and lower side rails. The spacer expander includes: many upper end lower pieces alternately arranged in a circumferential direction while being distanced in axial and circumferential directions; coupling pieces coupling the adjacent upper and lower pieces; and a lug portion formed built upright in inner peripheral end portions of the upper and lower pieces and pressing the side rails. A groove is formed in at least either an upper surface of each upper piece or a lower surface of each lower piece, and a through hole communicating with the groove is formed in the lug part. The through hole is formed such that a distance along the axial direction from either an upper surface or a lower surface of a top portion of the lug part to a deepest portion of the groove is not less than 0.22 mm. 【課題】長期間内燃機関を運転してもサイドレールとスペーサエキスパンダとの間にカーボンスラッジ等が堆積することのない組合せオイルリングを提供する。【解決手段】ピストンのオイルリング溝に装着され、平板で且つ環状の上下一対のサイドレールと、上下一対のサイドレールの間に配置されるスペーサエキスパンダと、を備え、スペーサエキスパンダは軸方向及び周方向に離間して周方向に交互に多数配置された上片及び下片と、互いに隣接する上片と下片とを連結する連結片と、上片及び下片の内周側端部に立設して形成されサイドレールを押圧するための耳部とを備え、上片の上面及び下片の下面の少なくとも一方の面に溝が形成され、該溝が連通する貫通孔が耳部に形成された組合せオイルリングにおいて、貫通孔は、耳部の頂部における上面又は下面の一方から溝の最深部までの軸方向に沿った距離が0.22mm以上に形成される。【選択図】図1
